Our team is conformed by a highly dynamic and motivated interdisciplinary group of researchers with wide backgrounds (including but not limitted to lawyers, psychologists medical doctors, microbiologist, ethicist, and philosophers) working in the field of research ethics and public health ethics in the Latin American region.

The COMISCA constitutes the political instance of the Central American Integration System, SICA, whose purpose is to govern the Regional Health Sector; the identification and prioritization of regional health problems, which are jointly addressed through the Agenda and the Central American Health Plan.
