Are you running a COVID-19 study – please can you share your SOPs and study resource?
The Global Health Network is working with the COVID-19 Clinical Research Coalition. Together we want to make available an open set of adaptable study tools, such as SOPs, that groups can use in their studies. Are you able to share your SOPs, CRFs? Anything you think might be useful? We can work from these and develop an open set of tools drawn from examples from those being used already. We will of course clearly cite and acknowledge where these came from.
There is a real and immediate need for study tools that are designed to be practical and appropriate for every clinical setting, and especially those with more constrained resources. Groups in low and middle income countries are planning studies and are asking for these. It slow and unnecessary for each group wanting to set up a study to start from scratch; when there are excellent studies already being run. If groups share their approaches in what they are measuring and how - through their SOPs and training resources - then this can speed up getting these critical studies started.
There is also the added benefit of bringing standardisation and sharing solutions that are pragmatic and known to work.
If you would like to share COVID-19 research tools to help and guid colleagues across the world please email us
