About: Dr. Anjorin, AbdulAzeez (PhD) does research on viruses of public health importance, especially Respiratory Tract Viruses with focus on Influenza Virus. He recently presented a paper on Phylogenetic analyses of Influenza Viruses in Pigs and Pig-handlers at the 2018 World Influenza Conference in Beijing. He won the ESWI 6th Influenza Young scientist grant to Riga, Latvia (2017); LASU Vice Chancellor Commendation, 2017; AvH, Germany & LAUTECH Humboldt-Kolleg, Osogbo Award (2017); Lagos State University Travel Support (2017); TWAS-ROSSA Young Scientists’ & NYA sponsored Award (2016). He was a visiting Scientist to Institute of Immunology, CRP/ Laboratoire National de Santé (now Luxembourg Institute of Health), Luxembourg; attended the 17th SAAR-LOR-LUX Workshop on Virology Research financially supported by Association Lorraine pour la Recherche et le Developpement de Composes Bio-Actifs, France at The University of Lorraine, Nancy, France; and visited University of Trier, Germany in 2014; He was a FGN-TETFUND PhD Scholar, 2012-2014; University of Lagos Muslim Alumni PhD Scholar, 2013; He won the M.Sc. Scholarship awarded by the Lagos State Government in 2010. He was also a Recipient of the Lagos State Government Awards (2007, 2006, 2005, 2000 & 1999); Otunba Ogunnowo Trust Award (2006); and the Buba Marwa Scholarship (2004/05).
